About Me
Hello, my name is Megan Gerak, and I have lived in northern Minnesota for most of my life. I earned my undergraduate degree in Social Work from Bemidji State University and my graduate degree from The College of St. Scholastica. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
I have worked in the mental health field since 2009, with experience in a variety of roles including Mental Health Case Management, Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), and supporting victims of domestic abuse. These experiences have shaped my compassionate, client-centered approach to therapy.
I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life and with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, and other mental health challenges. I feel privileged to support clients in reducing distressing symptoms, increasing insight, and working toward meaningful personal goals. I strive to create a supportive, respectful space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered.
In addition to providing therapy, I am a board-approved clinical supervisor for LICSW and LPCC professionals. My supervision style is strengths-based and reflective, with an emphasis on collaboration, professional growth, and self-awareness. I aim to support supervisees in building confidence, deepening clinical insight, and developing their own authentic therapeutic style, rather than fitting into a single model. Supervision is a space to explore challenges, celebrate strengths, and grow as a clinician in a supportive and respectful environment. My current rate is $100 per hour.

I currently offer in-person and virtual therapy sessions in Grand Rapids, MN and Hibbing, MN.
